Happy Thursday and welcome to the latest catch up blog post with Pippin Prints. A moment for me to reflect on the most recent chapter in our year, the nature inspired art that I’ve been creating in my studio and the progress I’ve made on current projects. I’ll also share some of the little joys of life from the outdoors, home and the comforts of the current season. Now that we have reached the end of October, it’s time to prepare for Christmas with Pippin Prints.
It’s Time to Prepare for Christmas with Pippin Prints
As we wave goodbye to the decorations and creativity of the spooky season (does anyone else love getting stuck into Halloween costume making and decorating the house or is that just me?), fireworks and bonfires fill the air and our attention slowly turns to the next big holiday. Christmas is on it’s way.
Whilst my online shop has been focused on the cosiness of the autumn season, behind the scenes I’ve been working away on preparations for December. I’m very much one for being organised at this time of year. I love to do all of my shopping and necessary prep ahead of time if I can, leaving the month itself for family time and festive fun.
Of course work is no different and it’s always important for me to be ahead of the game so that all of my retail and wholesale customers can order everything that they need in plenty of time.
In the Studio
As the sun shone back in August and we were all focused on summer days outdoors, I was painting holly sprigs and editing snowdrops ready for my winter collection in the studio. A little odd, but so important as it has allowed me to bring you several new products which are now ready to shop right here on my site.
On November 1st I will update my homepage with an easy to find Christmas section, but if you’d like to have a nosey right now you can find everything here.
Adding to the cards I created last year, the Pippin Prints Christmas collection now includes five cards available individually and in packs of five. I also have a new range of winter themed bookmarks which make ideal stocking fillers or even a finishing touch to a gift for a book lover. Finally, all of my winter paintings are available as prints in both the A4 and A5 size. Lovely at home, but again ideal as a gift if you have someone who loves home interiors.
The first week in November might seem early, but we all know how quickly the time before Christmas vanishes and I might be speaking for myself here but suddenly it’s two weeks before the big day and the panic is on to get cards posted. It’s absolutely worth thinking about it now.
Little Joys of Every Day Life
Although focused on the Christmas prep and all of the excitement it brings, the run up to Halloween was full of little joys for me in itself. Crafting with my little one more than anything. I love to make her costume each year and this October, true to her sparkly rainbow personality, we turned her into a unicorn. This past week alone we have carved pumpkins, prepared sweets for the trick or treaters and decorated gingerbread pumpkins.
We have also had a lot of fun outside. Walks have been fun when it’s been dry out and even sweeping up the leaves in the garden has brought us joy. Munchkin loves jumping in them and throwing them everywhere. It might take twice as long, but it’s so worth it.
Looking forward to catching up with you again at the end of November when I’ll be getting ready to put my tree up and celebrate the final month of the year. Where has 2024 gone?!
