It’s the Holiday Season with Pippin Prints
Happy Sunday and welcome to this month’s catch up blog post. A moment for me to reflect on the most recent chapter in our year, the art I’ve been creating in my studio and the progress I’ve made on current projects. I’ll also likely share some of the little joys of life from nature, home and the comforts of the current season. In December, it’s the holiday season with Pippin Prints.
It’s the Holiday Season with Pippin Prints
I jumped head first into December with a Christmas fair on the 1st of the month and most days have been full since. Another fair, Christmas shopping myself, festive events for the little one at nursery, plans with friends and family. It has been all systems go and I’m grateful to say that I felt very Christmassy this year.
On the 10th, a little later than usual, we went as a family to choose our tree and settled on the first one we looked at. It was the perfect fit for the front room and oh my goodness the smell from it, an excellent pick. Bringing nature into the house is one of my favourite things!
Each day was spent cosy at home or stretching our legs on long walks. Every evening I turned into an elf and wrapped a few more presents or wrote a few more cards. I’m pleased to say that as the big day approached I felt very organised. Just what the doctor ordered. Especially after weeks of coughs for us all, anyone else have a plagued house?
In the Studio
Sickness aside we all stayed busy. I was very fortunate to spend the majority of my studio time packing orders of prints and gift bundles for my wonderful customers. This has been my busiest season to date. Not only do I feel very grateful, I’m also excited for what the future holds for my business.
As such, I’ve been making some plans for the new year. From new paintings to begin as we step into January, to thinking ahead about all of the holidays and celebrations to come. I’m hoping that soon I will have you covered for every event in the calendar. You’ll be able to come to Pippin Prints for cards and gifts all year round. Valentines through to Christmas, it will all be here.
A Little Life Update
Finally I get to round off the season with a very happy life update. We’re ending the year on a high as we have agreed the sale of our house!
This takes us one step closer to being settled in Scotland and I’m very very happy. Having originally put our house on the market at the end of June this sale has been a long time coming. Thankfully, the months have moved past quickly. We can now move into the new year knowing that in 2024 we will find our calm space north of the border. I’m feeling so grateful for that.
