It’s Time for a Rebrand with Pippin Prints
Happy Friday and welcome to this month’s catch up blog post. A moment for me to reflect on the most recent chapter in our year, the art I’ve been creating in my studio and the progress I’ve made on current projects. I’ll also likely share some of the little joys of life from nature, home and the comforts of the current season. In May I have been busy working behind the scenes as it’s time for a rebrand with Pippin Prints.
It’s Time for a Rebrand with Pippin Prints
Following on from April’s blog where I spoke about taking Pippin Prints into wholesale as a way of growing and expanding, May has been another growth month for me in business.
When I created Pippin Prints in it’s first iteration, many years ago, I hand drew and painted my logo. The purple flowers and green botanicals that represented my brand for so long have been around longer than the watercolour art work that you see on my website today, but it is now time for a change.
Whilst I will forever hold on to florals in my work, I’m upgrading to visual branding which is simple and fresh. Easy to apply to all areas of my business, from recognisable labels on my products to growing my digital presence and social marketing.
The more minimal and professional looking graphic also speaks to the experience I’ve gained over the years, building Pippin Prints from a hobby into my career.
In the Studio
While most of my time in the studio is normally spent creating with watercolours, this month I have essentially been glued to my laptop focusing on the rebrand.
Thankfully Spring had other ideas and wanted to pull me away from the screen for just a moment. In a short afternoon I managed to do a little bit of painting and captured the glorious bluebells which carpeted our garden. The flowers have all fallen now, so I’m grateful to have this keep sake until they return next year.
Little Joys of Every Day Life
I’m grateful to say that the weather has also pulled me away from the screen in May. Last month I mentioned how excited I was to begin growing our own fruit and veg. We started with a few carrot seeds and with a lot of hard work in the garden, and with thanks to the beautiful sunshine we’ve been having, our veg patch is now full.
We’re growing strawberries, onions, radishes, carrots, tomatoes, beetroot, blackcurrants and blueberries so far. An apple tree and plum tree have also been planted. I’m so so pleased, and grateful to have the space to do this. Of course they might not all come to fruition but so much of the joy is in the process for me anyway.
(I can report after a quick check today that we’ve lost a pumpkin plant and the slugs seem to be enjoying the radish leaves but otherwise everything looks in tact!)
If we are successful and you know me personally, be prepared for me to offload some extra produce on you in a few months!
