Happy Thursday and welcome to this month’s catch up blog post. A moment for me to reflect on the most recent chapter in our year, the art I’ve been creating in my studio and the progress I’ve made on current projects. I’ll also likely share some of the little joys of life from nature, home and the comforts of the current season. Let’s chat about preparing for Christmas with Pippin Prints.
Preparing for Christmas with Pippin Prints
It’s the last day of November, December is tomorrow and we know what that means. Christmas is coming!
Whilst my own personal shopping and decorating has a long way to go, over the past few weeks I have turned my attention to preparing for Christmas with Pippin Prints. More specifically I have been completing festive orders and organising stock for two small Christmas stalls I have at the beginning of December.
This will be my first time having a stall in many years and certainly since turning my focus with Pippin Prints to my art and gifts, so I’m excited to see the response from fayre goers. All going well, I’ll have the privilege of being able to help some lovely people make a great start to their gift shopping.
Prints are wrapped, cards are stacked, bookmarks are paired, I’m collecting festive props for decoration and I’ll be making a list tonight to make sure I don’t leave anything important like my card reader behind. I’m that person that always leaves one thing, so I want to make sure I’m organised and able to enjoy the first of the festivities in December!
In the Studio
As the festive season takes hold and we get ready to dive head first into mince pies and Christmas music I have also turned my attention to gift prep in the studio. Sometimes, with all of the many many things we have to think about at this time of year, it’s nice to have an easy option when it comes to choosing gifts for your loved ones.
That’s why I’ve created my gift bundles in two different sizes and completely customisable, giving you lots of options and making shopping simple. Each one comes wrapped beautifully in tissue, parcelled in a presentation box and finished with luxurious ribbon, ready to pop under the tree.

A Little Life Update
Whilst most of my focus is on the month ahead and preparing for Christmas, many of you will also know that I’ve had a lot going on behind the scenes. We half moved to Scotland as a family in October and have been slowly settling into our new, slightly wobbly, life as we try to sell our house down south and look for a new one here.
Well, there is no update. Yet. The good news is that we’re settling into Scotland well, finding balance between work, family and socialising and even though there is still so much to figure out I feel happy. That’s all that really matters isn’t it?
We’ve also enjoyed a beautiful weekend in Lochgoilhead in late November, just as the temperatures began to drop. We spent the mornings wrapping up warm and going for long walks in the countryside. In the afternoons we would sit by the fire eating minced pies, drinking tea and trying to play chestnut (chess to non toddlers).
Looking forward to speaking to you again at the end of December when we’re all full of leftovers and chocolate, wondering which day we’re on and getting excited for a brand new year.
