Description

Sweet Pea is an original artwork by Emma Macdonald, the artist behind Pippin Prints. This piece has been painted in watercolours and was inspired by the sweet peas blooming in summer.

Sprawling and climbing freely, the sweet pea is a plant which starts small in spring, but quickly makes its presence known. The Victorians believed that they represented blissful pleasure and gratitude; incredibly apt for those moments spent in nature enjoying the florals’ sweet scent. When life is busy, having the joy of stepping out into your garden to enjoy a sweet pea is certainly something to be grateful for.

Unframed.

This painting does not come with a frame, however it suits a standard 30×40 frame if used with a mount insert and a 21×30 without a mount.

All my paintings are produced on 300gsm watercolour paper.
